On April 23, 2025, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order to promote excellence and innovation at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). The initiative aims to enhance HBCUs’ capabilities through partnerships with the private sector, increased funding, and improved workforce preparation in key industries. An annual summit will be held to discuss HBCU priorities, and a Board of Advisors will be formed to support HBCU leadership and development.
